CSaddict, you can go into the datalogging.als file and add extra com ports.

EXAMPLE: go to this part in the file

y = y + -40;
//y = y + 20;
CreateStatic(x+503, y, 65, 20, 8, 0, "Select Port");
hPortd = CreateCombo(x+400, y, 100, 100, 8, "ComSel");
setitem(hPortd, "NONE");
setitem(hPortd, "COM1");
setitem(hPortd, "COM2");
setitem(hPortd, "COM3");
setitem(hPortd, "COM4");
setitem(hPortd, "COM5"); <----------- add this line
setitem(hPortd, "COM6"); <----------- add this line
setitem(hPortd, "COM7"); <----------- add this line
setitemex(hPortd, 0, 0, 0);

Originally their are only 4 ports listed. You can add as many as you need.

i switched to my desktop with windows 2000 and set it to com 3 and it worked perfect so im switching over to windows 2000 on my laptop from xp. xp didnt work and i had the right driver... so ill switch over or buy a inverter at walmart and take my whole desktop in my car lol. thanks for the help guys.

You could get a second hard drive for your laptop. They're not that expensive and most are pretty easy to swap out.
