I used to have a 93 probe gt with the ford 2.5 version, and from all the research i used to do on probetalk and other forums, the stock ford motors are usually a hair friendlier due to a lower c/r ratio. Never the less, they are a fun car to play with, just a real bitch to work on. :P

i used a fmu 5 year ago on a stock gsr and stock injector and ecu. i made 322 whp
at 13 psi ran it for two year over 40000 mile on it
but i had a timing retard box and a inline booster fuel pump max pressure 125 psi
the stock injector ar 240 cc had it on the dyno and was starting to be a bit lean
the fmu was a 7 to 1 whit the vortec fmu you can buy a kit for all the different size
and changed your stock fuel pump if it has alots of mile on it
11.75 at 120mph in 95 civic hatch at 322 whp
