Home Made Water / Meth Injection ??? Anyone ??
So water / meth injection seems to be a pretty hot topic these days. Just wondering if anyone on here is using it?
I am running 10psi for now but once the built motor is ready I plan to hit the stocker with 15psi , just to see how long I can make it last etc.
My plan is to wire up a BC to a switch on my shift **** so that it only runs 10psi until I press the button, then bumps to 15. Seems like rather than running a EMS that will control the meth I could just attach it to that swith and it would only spray above 10psi...
The kits look like a pretty easy DIY thing to me

Peoples main complaints seem to be that they don't spray an even mix to each cylinder .... but I think in a DIY application I would want to drill / tap an IM for another set of injectors, use a small set of injectors like stockers, and basically just a tank with an inline pump wired to my toggle switch ....
Thoughts? Experiences?

I basemapped a car running meth injection once. 30psi on a d16y5 with forged rods and pistons, ran an 11.3 with no LSD and has trapped up to 130mph. Ran high 11's with no intercooler.

The problem is 99.7% of water injection kits either supply a fixed rate of water, or ramp things up based on boost pressure with no regard for how much water is actually needed. You need to keep water:fuel ratio precise (since we tune fuel to match the amount of air entering the engine, this keeps water/power ratio predictable) and then tweak individual injector fuel trims to get everything to match up.
Or that's the idea, anyway.
I think this was the most understandable reply by JD on this topic I have ever read! And he couldn't be more right. I was going to do it until I read JD's mind boogling post On it before and decided I wasn't up to the task on my DD

So basically I was wanting it to be simple, like a shot of nitrous ... does it have to be so precise? I mean if your using it to reach for 600+whp on pump then I see how it needs to be controlled perfectly because you're walking the line , but in a lesser aplication such as a ~250whp LSt could the "boost cooler" set up or a DIY clone be used effectively to reach 300whp on weekends

I figure most tuners can reach 230-250 with some relatively mild timing tuning so I should be capable of that once I get a little more confident in my tuning ... the injection just looks like an easy way to tune more agressively and see higher HP #s without so much risk of detonation.
