Default HELP TACH PROBS

ALL RIGHT ITS A 93 CIVIC COUPE DX D15B7,I HOOKED THIS ---- HOLE TACH UP THE OTHER DAY,WELL MY CARS AT ABOUT 6500 HITING THE REV LIMIT AND MY TACH READS 3400,2000 AND THE TACH IS AT 1100,1000 AND THE TACH IS ABOUT 600,YOU GET THE PICTURE.ITs an old autometer it has black=ground, grenn=spark, white=light power red=tachpower,i have the green wire hooked up to the large blue wire coming from the dist.Power from the cruise control and ground to sheet metal.(using chrome to set rev limits)thanks for eney info

did you clip the small black and orange (i believe are the colors) to set the tach for 4 cyl and not 6 or 8 cyl?

yes, there are 2 wires that come out of the tach and go back in. i believe they are black and orange, im not positive though i dont know without going and looking. they may have gotten pushed inside yours or something? if it is like every other one ive ever wired in, yours may be different though
