You realize what a that a VTEC ECU is nothing more than a fancy RPM activated switch? TPS, VSS, Oil Pressure and load.. all limitations of when VTEC would activate. With an RPM activated switch, not only is it cheaper, but will activate any time you hit that RPM. It's not dependent on outside sensor values. Therefore, a single map interface, would be easier to tune because you _know_ your VTEC crossover, and can compensate as such.

ya but doesnt when v-tec hits it inputs more fuel so its correct, if i use my old pm6 ecu it will not do this right. if however i do use my pm6 will i lose any power if not running the p28.

No, that's not true at all..
[edit]
VTEC ECUs don't "give it more fuel" when VTEC is active, it just switches to a second set of maps that have values enriched for more fuel, which are referred to as "high cam" maps. When you're not in VTEC, you're in "low cam" maps.
[/edit]
If you are running your PM6, you just enrich your fuel and ignition table for VTEC based on your crossover point. Say like running TurboEDIT on a PM6 to power a B16.
You copy and paste your low cam maps below your crossover, and copy and paste your high cam maps above your crossover. Very simple.
Especially, now that VTEC through the PS9/PM6 (with hardware changes) is working.
