Default Help! Datalogging problem...and I NEED it tomorrow.

Hey, I need some help quick!

BTW this is all on Phearable's converted P06 (to a 'P28') chipped ECU with the datalogging 4-pin piece already soldered in CN2.

I've been trying and trying to get this stupid datalogging kit (stupid because I can't get it to work, it's nice though) to work with my laptop. I have an old Dell laptop that runs with the older USB ports. It's still compatible apparently, but I can't get any correct signals when using datalogging programs.

I bought the Xenocron USB converter datalogging kit, and I set up all the necessary drivers needed. Set speed to 9200, same as the speed setting in EcuControl...same COM port, and all settings are exact, yada yada. It says it's connected, but when I try to datalog, it gives weird values every minute or so...Definitely not working correct. It logs and everything, but the values are soo messed up. Like I'm not touching the throttle, and it will read 100% and won't move. Some of the readings change every 45 sec. to 1 minute, and it seems like the values get worse every time.

Anyone know what to do??

Thanks to whoever helps.

-Paul

eh...nevermind.

It's the laptop that's driving me crazy. I knew I installed everything correctly, but the serial port settings are interrupted somewhere. The BIOS setup doesn't help much either trying to detect and set what ranges I want. I even updated it, but it's so undefined...it's hard to tell what port is being shared. I hate old laptops...

...anyone have ANY experience with Dell computers?? I've been reading, and adjusting...no luck here.

Thanks.
