H22 running on P28 question

Default H22 running on P28 question

If I run a H22 on a P28 ecu will the butterflies stay open?

Are you leaving them connected on the intake manifold.

And if you are asking if the P28 will control them...no, unless you add the circuitry for it to do so.

I think that he's asking if he leaves them connected but doesn't use the p28 to control them, whether or not the butterflies will stay open or if they will stay closed.

If you disconnect the vacuum lines from the actuator thingy, they will stay open.

Ok thanks...yeah just wanted to know if i don't use the P28 to control them with the IAB conversion if they would stay open.

yeah, that's what most people do if they still have the stock intake manifold, you may lose a little torque on the bottom end, but it's not like a 'night and day' difference.
