Default Ghettodyne Launch control question....

Hi, I was wondering how the launch control worked in ghettodyne. Does it work off the VSS? If so, how can I make it work in a CRX with a speedo cable? Thanks for any help.

Well, it's not Ghettodyne specific, but part of the PGMFI colaboration.

As for how it works, yes, it works off of the VSS received by the sensor in the transmission. This means cable for the OBD0 vehicles.

It checks the VSS RAM location, and if it's lower than ~5mph, then it sets the rev limit to the "Launch Limit".

So, the launch control will work in my 90 CRX Si without having to modify anything.

Neutral has the same effect as when in gear. If you're rolling faster than ~5mph, then your Hot/Cold rev limit will be in effect, otherwise, your launch limit will be in effect.
