well pretty much the same thing as you where experiencing. I could connect with the older version but then couldn't connect with 1.6.

 

you can try what i did, don't know if this was the problem but it works now . i went into device manager and changed the ports to com2 then did the same with the ostrich. worth a shot. i was just messing around with it trying to get it to work and decided to swap com ports and it worked.

 

yeah i already tried that too, but i only tried one other port. Once i get back up and running i'll refer back to this thread.
