fmu maximum boost

Re:fmu maximum boost
The turbo has nothing to do with it and the FMU isn't the problem when it comes to maximum limits. The FMU can run any amount of boost you want. The problem is in the injectors. At 10psi your fuel pressure has raised 120psi which is not good on the injectors. You can get a smaller disk for the FMU like a 10:1 and be a bit safer, but I wouldn't recommend anything over 8psi with an FMU.

Re:fmu maximum boost
My friend is using a 12:1 with his greddy kit, he tired 15psi and next day found himself pulling the head and the oil pan off to slide the pisons out.
He basiclly totally destoryed the ring lands on one piston and the other 3 were pretty messed up.
He runs 6.5psi happily now.
8 would be max...

it takes a little messing with, but if you get an fmu that can adjust the base pressure, you can run bigger injectors and and a lot of boost....i friend of mine did this on his na eclipse when he went turbo for a while until he got an afc, now he uses both
