Default flash instead of eproms

can u use flash instead of eproms my dad works for a chipping computer company and he sais they use flash now and not eproms i was j/w if u can use flash instead of eproms he doesnt kno much about cars but he knows a shitload about computers and chips

isn't that what eeproms are?

i thought eproms were uv eraseable and eeproms were electronically eraseable...esentially flash memory chips. correct me if i'm wrong.

I assume his dad means, 'reflashing' meaning, without chipping, just reprogramming the MCU...like Kpro or what most of the Suby, VW and EVO guys do.

Reflashing requires some serious equipment...all Honda dealerships have the capability to reflash most OBD2 ECUs.
