Default few questions about datalogging and how to tune my car

i cant get my laptop to datalog ive switched it over to windows 2000 it was windows xp. i did this because my desktop worked when i datalogged. but my laptops still not datalogging right. my dad sais it might have something to do with that my desktop has usb 1. something and my laptop has 2. something usb. and the usb cable or uberdata might only be compatible with usb 1.. have any of you guys datalogged with a newer laptop? cuz now im stuck and im trieing to find an older laptop.

second question is can i tune my car without the boost part of the map by revving it in nuetral. or would i need to be in 2nd gear to tune? would the a/f ratios be different from nuetral or in second. i just want to be able to drive my car for now until i get my datalogging problem sorted out as stated above. thanks for the help guys.

you cant tune the car in neutral...LOL

you need to have some sort of load on the car to tune.

as far as datalogging, make sure you have the cable drivers installed properly and that when you connect the cable to the laptop you are always using the same port as when you installed the drivers...make sure to match everything up in your device manager (COM ports) to what you have setup in Uber
