Default ECU problem

what can cause an ECU to pop fuses, im on my 3rd PR4 computer in 3 weeks

are you killing the ECU's when they are blowing fuses? sounds like you have a short somewhere.

If you put an AFC on there.. check that. Check your grounds..

It doesent have a AFC on there, but it kills the computer too is there a way to have them fixed

also i have a LS swap and i only have problems with the PR4 ecu right now i have a HF computer in there it dosent give me any problems but the car is alot slower

Uh, you're running 1.8l 16 valve engine from a 1.6l 8 valve ECU?

...PLEASE tell me you're joking. If you're not, your ringlands are praying that you ceaserunning the car until you get your ---- fixed.

yes like try a lack of fuel causing your ---- to run leaner hotter and start pinging this is where it gets fun cause it'll go pop and then you wont just have a ECU poblem

Correct.

You're not giving the motor the fuel it needs. Your cylinder temps are going to get too high, and you'll detonate. Exploding your ring lands, and you'll be investing in new pistons, rings, and a hone (at minimum).

this is my brothers car i gave him the hf computer because thats all i had left i wanna rewire the whole with a junkyard harness car to solve this problem because i didnt do the dpfi/mpfi swap he bought it like that i did mine over a year ago and no problems
