Default DPFI to MPFI on 92-95 Civic

I have been searching for the past couple of days now, gathered the info about the DPFI to MPFI swap. However most guides are based on the 88-91 Civic when it is OBD0. Hence I hope that someone can shade some lights on me. Since that car I am converting is the 92-95 LSi with D15B2 (DPFI) EG then would it still be the same in terms of the wiring provided by the guides that based on based on 88-91?

probably not. you will need to find a good write up, or get the ecu pinouts from a helms manual. you will probably be following the concept, but with different wires. the resistor box wil be wired the same, you just need to figure out which pin the wire that goes to the ecu goes in and find out if you need to do any swapping w/ the dizzy wires and then just check that all your other wires are the same.

I'm just now finishing up my dpfi to mpfi in my STD hatch. I found this really good write up on the forums here, https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...?topic=34489.0, but again that's for the EF and they will most definitely be different. Good luck and solder and heatshrink all your wires.

Yea had a look in that guide it seems to be the easiest guide so far. I also had a look at the ECU for the EG LSi (D16B2) it has a P04 ECU. If anyone can help would be much appreciated.

I also compared the plugs for the P04 from the EG and a PM7 ECU (from a EF with ZC engine) that i have in hand. The three plugs of the ECU have the same number of pins and the connectors are the same.

I now have another piece of informat that I found is that the UK EG LSi (D15B2 DPFI) are OBD0. However, the EG that comes with MPFI with the same engine in UK is OBD1.

Hence would I be better off finding a EF manifold and TB, injectors...etc to do the conversion? Will I still need the resistor box?

yeah man, resistor box is a must with the low impedance of the new injectors you'll be using. the injectors in the dpfi are high impedance( or maybe it's high and low for the two). anyways, you need it or else you'll fry your injectors. I have a resistor box from an ef si and also one from some mitsubishi that came with my 450's that looks like a silver twinkie. i'll sell you either one for 20 bucks plus shipping( should be pretty cheap).

More bad news for me as the ZC is parts is not compatible for the swap. However a good news is that I have found a guide for the UK/Europe 5th Gen OBD0 D15B2 DPFI to MPFI swap. I would like to add it to here so that anyone looks for them in the future may be able to use it : -
