Desoldering tools?
Yeah I got my p06 in a few day ago and just ordered a chipping kit from xenocron a few minutes ago so i need a better desoldering tool I have a few soldering irons and one desoldering Iron that I bought from radioshack but the tip on it is realy to big for desoldering an ecu.
What type of desoldering tools do you guys that chip ecus a lot use and where did you get them?

you should be able to get a smaller tip for ur desoldering iron pretty cheap, or just use some desoldering wick, u should be able to get some for cheap at a hardware store, or radio shack maybe. If you cant get that i just used copper stranded wire, u just press it on the holes u want desoldered and press the soldering iron on top of it, when the solder melts the wire sucks it up. the wick works the same way but better.

i bought mine at radio shack...its just a little rubber ball that you squeeze and hold up to the solder, heat it, and when you let go it sucks the solder out. It worked great for my ecu. I think it was like $4.

I paid like 12 for mine it's got the rubber ball on it and workks the same way. The tip was just to big to get to the sloder without melting the board to. I just grinded it down to as fine a point as I could and now I'm happy with it.
