Default datalogging

ok, you guys seem to know all this ---- too and on pgmfi they don't like to help noobs, so please help.

i have my p28 datalog ready BUT its for serial and the laptop i have access to only has USB ports... so i was at radio shack and they had a cable that went straight from serial to usb... would this work or do i need a special cable or an adapter or something?

You need a DB9 to USB adapter.
