Default D16Y7 E/M question

hey guys im currently working on turboing my y7 but was wondering do i NEED the Y8 intake manifold in order to run OBD1.?

Yes and no. You need it for the 2 wire IAC valve because the OBDI ecu won't control the 3 wire you have. On the other hand, you can just get a throttle body that doesnt have the IAC in it and then run the script to delete the IAC in Crome.

P.S. I am currently turboing my Y7 and I am using a Y8 intake with a 2 wire IAC and a Z6 throttle body.
