There is detonation and there is detonation.

 

A6 with P29's, broke two rods and all ringlands...........

Never heard any detonation either.

 

Just like an impact gun... I have an impact gun that I can hold still by hand with a 17mm deep socket on it. Yet it breaks free bolts I can't by standing on a 28" breaker bar.

Vibration anywhere along the audible<-->high freq inaudible range will destroy the top rod bearing shell, fatigue metal of your rods, jackhammer on the rings/lands.

 

k then here is my question when trying to run the car with 16 btdc as stock, the car will not even move anywhere and the motor shakes, then when i rotate the distributor and the timing light says 35 btdcl the car will then move it would at 25 but bucked,shaked, and misfired like hell...wtf is up with that ----? afrs are fine...im just trying to get it to run...what do you suggest...how do i get it safe to drive to my neares dyno tuner?

Verify you are running stock .bin, not an Uber modified one pls kthx.

Can you go over your setup? I ASSume it is an OBD0-1 conversion? Details pls.
