I'm new to this forum, but from what i've read and seen in here, this is such a cool place for peeps to share ideas, answers, best of turbo parts for cheap. Okay nuff of that, I need Boost!! I heard boost is good on a b18b, so I figured i wanna do this, got the money, but I need to start somewhere, and this is the perfect place (I hope so). most expensive part with be a turbo manifold. cause you can't use a oem manifold as a turbo manifold. probably almost 300 bucks right there.
all the other stuff is relitivly cheap.
cheapest way i know:
12:1fmu $100
btm $100 - 200
t3 turbo $100 - 150 (internal wastegate)
bov $20 (bosch)
intercooler $30 (1g dsm) $400 (spearco)
lots inbetween.
then you have to have a shop make a downpipe and bend some pipes for you. that can get expensive but nothing extreme.
or you can go through a junkyard and find a good one like i did. i got a conquest intercooler from a junkyard for 50 dollars. the guy didn't even know what an intercooler was. he tried to sell me a radiator.

Hey thanks dude, That was helpful. I have no problem gettin th ic pipes and down pipe done. I'm just a little worried about reliabilty, and if i can drive a homemade setup daily.the simplest fuel managment i know of or i'm capable of doing my self is the 12:1 fmu, and maybe a a different fuel pump. I knoww all you guys have tons of expierience at custom setups, can you give me some feedback, hows the daily driving with a homemade setup? again thanks for the info...

Oh yeah i'm not plannin to run mad boost, I'm lookin around 6-7 psi. Cus i don't wanna even get into internals and all that other ----. Reason I ask about drivability, is because my gf commutes to college everyday, I probably change my mind on this project if the car is unreliable. Thanks again everyone...
