Could I burn a chip with uberdata and use it in another ecu?
I was wondering if I would be able to use my uberdata ECU to burn a chip for a buddy's ECU. Could I just burn the chip and take the chip off and just solder the chip into my buddy's ECU? I'm not too familiar with chipping ECU's yet but would it work or do I have to get a whole chip kit?

I know you need a chip burner, I have the chip burner, wideband, cable..etc...He just asked me if it would work if I burnt him a chip using my ecu since his ecu isnt datalog ready. Meaning I would hook my ecu into his car since my ecu is uberdata ready, tune the chip for his car, burn the chip w/ my chip burner, and then putting the chip into his ecu. He just wants a chip and not the whole uberdata system installed. I told him to get a uberdata ready ecu but he's low on cash and it's what he asked me to find out so I'm just wondering if it's possible...

I'm trying to say that he wants a chip just a chip like them egay chips but he doesnt want to buy them off egay. I'm wondering if I could just take my chip and install it in his ecu. would that work? nevermind if no one understands

Only way that chips going to work is if your running the same setup/engine. Your question was a little confusing (and still sort of is). But from what I got out of it, is that you wanted to know if you could use the same .bin file your running, and make one for your friends ecu, and wanted to know if it will work. Sure it'll work, as long as his ecu is chipped properly and your engine matches with the .bin file your running.

i think what i'm reading is that you are gonna use your Uber ready ECU to tune his car and then swap that chip out and install it in his ECU? i dunno why i just tried to decypher your post...
just socket/chip his ecu... it'll take like 10-15 mins.
