My OBD1 boost code is $100, $50 for dsm 450's are ur set :p And its not a crappy hack liek the SMC, its real boost code.

Re:cheapest way of fuel management
Use a pressure switch to turn a cold start injector on when you get boost. Make sure you fine tune the fuel pressure and injector on pressure using an air fuel meter. Worked well on several cars for me! including a D16 running 7 psi.
Pretty nasty but it can work quite well if you get it set right. |
Re:cheapest way of fuel management
George Ricketts has posted some OBD0 code to PGMFI that acts like an AFC boost hack
I can't find it. |
Re:cheapest way of fuel management
Steedspeed, that works, but the average cold start injector is good for ~25 hp. Some are higher flow (Merv V8? Others?) but I'm not up to speed on which. I've talked to people who have run some staged setups using those and are pretty happy. I recommend that you tune it nice and rich, as anything else is a bit dangerous ;)
The Bosch cold start injectors are nice for several reasons - they have flanges so you can bolt them all sorts of nifty places and they like to be run at 100% duty cycle - you can just run 12v from the battery to them and it won't hurt them like a regular injector. One of the Dodge sites had a nifty DIY opamp circuit to cut a cold start injector on/off if you went too lean under boost. You could adjust the MAP voltage (boost) it turned itself on at, as well as the O2 voltage it turned itself on at. Very creative. I can see your engine bay getting pretty messy if you don't think out how to implement all the injectors, though. Semnos, the file you want is 3/4 the way down this thread, but you need to sign up for a free PGMFI account to access the ROM section the thread is at. http://pgmfi.crx-forum.org/phorum/re...10&i=292&t=292 |
Re:cheapest way of fuel management
oh ok thanx I'm already signed in ;D
I got my injectors today, but the weather is bad (raining). Going to put it in my other intake manifold and swap it with the one in the car. |
Re:cheapest way of fuel management
