Crome's code won't let you change the first and last row. Also you can only use certain values in the rpm box. If they aren't allow, they change them back.

Yeah I changed the rpms on my accord map when I first started tuning it seemed like a good idea when I was using a map that started out as a b series vtec low cam map and my redline is 6500. After awhile I ditched that rom when I figured out I could import the timing maps from an p13 i think f22 prelude.

So changing rpm resolution really isn't needed.

idle'ing at 1200rpms.

Why the hell would I need any rows under 1200rpms to tune with?

IDK, I just think it would make more sense to have 4 other rows between 1200 and 9000rpms...

trust me don't mess with that crome is hard enough to get a good idle out of sometimes, You really would want to increase idle resolution more then anything.

Sometimes your rpm drops unexpectedly? Obviously you haven't been cruising around with chipped OBD1 ECUs very long as it's pretty normal to get minor rpm variations at times. Especially on the older code. If you want to change the rpm points, get ready to do some math interpolating what values you should put in. There is a decent amount of work involved in ------- around with rpm/load headings that most simply don't realize. These same people wonder why their power isn't there, the fuel economy has went to ----, and they have a shutter.

so I have to spend a little time to mess around with that. So what? and I don't have a problem per say with my idle, I just don't see a reason for 4 rows under my idle RPM....thats all. I think it would be more useful in other areas...

Your not retarded for thinking that way but you do need the columns below your idle to pretty much stay the way they are if your iac starts acting up a little or you get the crome problem where idle will fall on it's face when your coming to a stop. Inqusition is being over dramatic though.
basicaly I under why your thinking about rpm resolution but in the end it doesn't help anything and it's not needed.
