well i've come to find out that my burn1 took a ---- on me. it wouldn't be that big of a deal cause i know that craig has awesome customer service if i had another car to drive and i didn't have to go to the track sunday. has anyone else had problems w/ theirs mine works, it just burns bad chip

 

I use mine at least every other day and have had no problems. Update your firmware/reload your firmware... see if that helps. Maybe something is corrupted.

 

i d/l the firmware updater. i just don't know how to use it.

 

Download the updater...

Download the latest BURN1 firmware file...

Plug BURN1 into the computer...

Run Updater...

Locate BURN1 firmware file....

Load into Updater...

Update.

 

got it.

 

So it works now?

BTW: I was planning on comming to Blaine for Hockey w/the chips. But didn't get done working in time to go.

 

this has happend to me before. the first time i managed to somehow burn a resistor out inside the unit, but i sent it back and craig fixed it to work mint again. fast foward about a year later and i kept getting solid cel's. i changed/updated just about everything possible to no avail, so i ordered another burn1 and its working perfectly. i have to get around to seeing if i can send the old one back and see what was wrong with it. undoubtedly i did something stupid and caused it to mess up. for the amount i use it and its convinience and functionality, its definatly well worth the money

 

it works now. it mighta been the firmware update, or that the uber file was corrupted. who knows. i ordered a new one anyways since i've had this problem before and it's only 2 months old. :::shameless plug::: craig's customer service ------- rocks
