Default Broken injectors?

I just got some DSM 450's and when they arrived two of them have chunks missing out of the plastic 'cap' on the injection end, i'm thinking (hoping) that this just helps aim the spray and that it wouldnt matter too much that its broke but what do you guys think?

They are fine. You can still use them and they'll work just the same. Those caps are just to keep dirt and shyt out of the injector pintle.
