Default Apex'i SAFC: Gen, 2,3,4

Gen 4 are the pretty LCD ones, Gen 3 are the ones with 5 adjustable *****, so what do the Gen 2 look like, and what don't they have that the others do?

Nope, Gen 2 are the latest and greatest. You're a couple of generations off. Check the APEX'i website for details and watch who you listen to.

Ughh Ugh ummm.... *clears throat.....

Not to make me seem old or anything...(old enough to rember all the incarnations of the AFC)...

...But both of you are correct. Their are 4 incarnations of the AFC as made by Apexi. 2 of these are Pre-S-AFC two are S-afc

The one you mentioned was a 5 knobby deal where as each **** signified fuel adjustment per a particular RPM band.
(+ or - 50% per like every 400-500rpms)

The one prior to that one had ONE **** for the WHOLE rpm band, so you just adjusted the whole system + or - 50%
I still see this one around every now and then, put have never seen support for it (ie manuals and such on the website)

and of course you know the SAFC, which came out as a complete adjustable/interfaceable unit.
