im not sure. i have always datalogged from the ecu. you really dont need those to be logged for tuning anyway. the map is nice for tuning the transition from vac to boost, but you can do that with a gauge.

just start with a zc basemap or even a z6 one will work to get you going. you are going to have to tune a lot anyway with that setup.

dont be scurred lil noglet. hop to

its intimidating but i think i can do it. you pritty much just run the car at 25% 50% 75% then 100% throttle and watch gauges, make changes. correct?

i usually get the car to idle nicely, then on my way to a nice spot for wide open runs i will play with the cruise. then i do some wide open 3rd gear runs till i am happy, then play with the cruise on the way back.

ill get all that ---- i just want to nmake it drivable. its awesome in boost but sucks out of boost. iv taken a stupid amount of fuel out of vacuum on the map and its gettin better.

but i dont know how good ill be able to get it with no coolant temp workin yet, cant figure out whats wrong with it.

i also did all this tuning without setting the dist timing lol. ima go set it now and see how it does.

Setting the timing is the first thing I do. You have to make sure the timing in your map is what it really is while it's running

you know where the jumper would be on a obd1 converted 88 rex? cant find it so i set it a lil on the safe side of 16 btdc

and can i tap my stock map sensor into my zetronix wideband? or can you only use theres? which wire do i tap? same with the tps, and rpm which wire?

thank you for being so helpful, if i didnt have a cdm turbo start wobbling after like 4 compressor surges from a kinked bov hose with 4k miles on the turbo i swore cheap ---- off. but if i do ill def buy from you.

is there anyway to fix a wobbly cdm turbo? i caught it befor it scraped the housing up to bad and the fins are barly curled at the ends.

On 88's the plug is under the hood near the fuse box.

I'm not sure on the wires for logging. I have always logged through the ecu.

CDM turbos use the same parts as real garrett turbos.
