Default Any one ever experience this?

shortly after boosting i started noticing symptoms of a maybe a failing alternator. under high rpm or load the lights (both interior and exterior) would brighten and then if i pushed in the clutch and let the rpms' fall the lights would dim back down. under acceleration if i left enough time inbetween shifts the lights would brighten, dim during the shift(when rpms fell) and then brighten again under rpm/load.

current setup is obd2a->1 harness with a chipped p28 on a basemap. however, when i swapped back to my p2p ecu and a vafc to pass state inspection the symptoms completely dissapeared.

makes me wonder if maybe i have an electrical short somewhere with the harness and p28.

any help would be appreciated, its rather annoying at night

only solution is to keep it redlined.

your lights ar not part of the wire harness they are wired directly from a relay, fuse to your switch.. maby something wrong with alternator get a new one.

well as i mentioned before when i took out the conversion harness and p28 and put my p2p and vafc in the lights were normal. they did not fluctuate

read the basemap with my willem and opened it in uberdata. it does apear to have ELD checked. im assuming checking it disables ELD.

i did some research and it does sound like the ELD was not disabled but from the chip read it appears that it is disabled.

more help?

Well that is an obvious conflict.

Whatever was read by the burner is what was on the chip. So if it says disabled, then it is disabled.

cray- can you clear this up. i think the checkbox in uberdata might actually be to enable ELD, not disable it. there is a box to check for VTEC which is also selected, im hoping that means enable vtec.

here's a print screen, you tell me:
