hrrm well i unchecked ELD,saved as a new map, and burnt to a new chip. took it for a spin but no difference

i downloaded a crome bin for a near identical setup from xenocron's repository and tested that out in the car just around the block. eld was disabled in that bin and the lights seemed steady.

im still convinced its the ELD feature, maybe im just doing something wrong in uber. i WILL let you know if i stumble across anything but please....

BUMP for some more suggestions

drove around on ****'s map but with ELD disabled. lights were rock steady.

im confident its just the ELD setting. if anything changes i'll post but for now, consider it fixed by disabling ELD.

thanks guys

maybe you should swap out the ELD. Im not sure where it is on OBD2 cars but on my EG its built in to the underhood fuse box.

I thought that I read somewheres on pgmfi that crome treats the ELD differently then uberdata (something to do with the way each is programed) , and sometimes the ELD on uber doesnt work as good as crome...sounds stupid but it sticks out in my head

as i mentioned, the problem went away when i changed fuel management to pass inspection. this pinpointed it to the management i was using.

ut oh!!! its back.

after driving on a crome map with eld disabled for a week its back. it happened for the first time last night. i daily drive this to and from school (30 mins) everyday and i have not seen any light changes AT ALL until last night. drove it tonight however and had no issues.

i thought for sure the eld had taken care of it.

im in ny so it has been getting much colder. it was rainy the night it just happened.
but as i said before, i rode around on my first basemap (that a local tuner made me) and it happened very frequently over the course of a whole year.i'd say it happened 80% of the time.

i'll look around at my wiring

Look for corrosion, or white toothpaste like stuff around the wires to and from the alternator/battery. You would be surprised at how little corrosion is needed to throw readings off, and if you pull voltages at the terminals you would never know.

Had this same problem long time ago (w/o the chipped ecu), and replaced a battery/alternator, before I replaced the 10$ wire, the wire fixed the problem.
