All of a sudden throwing 2 codes. Code 20 Electrical Load Detection and Code 21

Yea thats what i was thinking too. My buddy who is a tech at honda sais that he thinks maybe one of those wiring distribution blocks under my intake manifold may be rubbing and grounding out on something metal. He sais normally if that happens it will throw codes like that, the iacv, o2 sensor, etc., along with the eld code. I looked and it looks like one of them doesn't have any electrical tape around the wires anymore and it was resting against the rear motor mount bracket so i may try ziptying it up away from metal.

Hmmm, have either of you tried hooking up some type of voltmeter to the battery to monitor the output of the alternator while driving? I wonder if possibly the regulator on the alternator is going bad and allowing somewhat of a high voltage output that the computer does not like. Just a thought

well i fiddled around in the engine bay tonight and for some reason i did a few hard pulls on the way home without throwing any codes. Cross your fingers and pray to god that these codes don't come back. I don't know what i did, but i guess it worked.

ehhh nevermind....its still throwing those codes . Anymore ideas guys? Any reason why i would be throwing the vtec spool solenoid code along with the eld code at the same time?

This is on a p28. I didn't throw the code until i used my ecu for datalogging on shift_spools car...which isn't running right. You think anything on his car could have shorted something out in the ecu?

well i ran a wire from the battery to the vtec solenoid and it clicked so that is working fine. Vtec is definintly engaging, but at a certain rpm it is disengaging when the check engine light comes on. Then it won't engage again after that until I turn the car off and back on. If it is something in the ecu what component would it be?
