Default 330cc injectors ---> 450cc injectors

OK, being in class lets my mind wonder all over the place about possibilities for my car. I've got a set of recently cleaned 330cc injectors from a MX6. I'd like to use those instead of adding more costs to my ever so long list of stuff to buy.

My idea. 330cc injectors @ 36psi would work fine with turbo edit, but I couldn't run as high of boost. But, when I change the fuel pressure, essentially I am running more fuel. So, @ 49 psi, they would essentially be about 450cc. This would make using turboedit easier, since I wouldn't have to modify the maps for my injectors.

In theory that's fine, right? I've got a fpr and gauge, so that'd be easy to do.

Beyond that, I thought, increased fuel pressure, equals decreased fuel flow from the pump. But around 50psi should be that big of deal right? It's a bosch inline hooked up to a fuel cell. The pump is out of a Volvo turbo...

Any thoughts, comments, concerns?

The idea in theory would work, yes.

However, the practical use numbers need to be crunched. What formula were you using to achieve the 49psi? Is your stock fuel pressue only 39psi?

To accurately calculate this we would need to get, or create a formula to find the proper percent of increase in flow between pressures. Then we can apply that to the direct flow increase of the 450s over the stock 240s (46%), and see what the actual fuel pressure would have to be to accomplish a 450cc fuel flow.

ok.. well... lets see...

450/330=1.3636363636363 etc....

so, ,39psi *1.36 right?
= 53.04psi or 53 psi

this would assume that both injectors are CC'd at the same fuel pressure..

I was assuming stock rated flow at 36psi, that's why 330cc injectors @ 49psi would equal 450cc injectors... at least in theory.
