I don't know if this chip will work, but let me know if I would expect have any problems with them. They are supposed to be electronicaly eraseable 27C256 replacements...

The 27SF256 PLCC 32

Do I need the PLCC or the DIP chips? I know nothing about this, but we're doing a GB in the Classifieds, so I wanna make sure we get the right ones.

Also, what about speed, does it matter??

the difference between the two chips is that the 'c' ones are OTP and the 'SF' are electronically eraseable, where are you getting them from?

BTW I us ethe 27sf256 and have not had a problem with them

 

Thanks, I can get them from Batronix on the progshop site. I was gonna get them with the Group buy on the Classifieds, but there were to many chips to choose from, you should check it out and see if they have the right one for us. Then maybe I'll buy some.

 

the ones from batronix are all fast enough thats where i got mine from
