Default 27c256 vs. 29c256

Hey guys,

I have 2 atmel 27c256r chips without the uv eraser window. Just wondering how these are different from the 29c256 chips that some of you guys are using to chip your ecu's with. Are they both the same? I'm guessing mine are 1 time programmable and then they're stuck with what's on them and the 29c256's are electronically erasable and re-useable? Do both work no problem in an ecu once programmed?

Thanks,
Stan

They are the same chip except for the one key difference. The 27C you cannot reburn.
