but if you took the sping out it would not make any boost and if they looked under the hood there would not be any pipes unhooked and there would be no chance of them blowing it up with the stock ecu

yeah it's not like the pinner greddy turbo could overspool and get fucked up.

His car is OBDII, It does not need to see the rollers, just pass the OBDII tests. If he did need to run it on the dyno you do not need enough throttle to see boost, if you give it that much throttle it will send you out of the parameters anyway and they will have to redo the test. By pass the Greddy box, Run off the stock map and if it has bigger injectors/map then put the stock stuff on and run it, stay out of boost but drive it for a good 50 miles before bringing it in for inspection OR just plug a different car into the machine.

Disconnecting charge pipe overspins and kills the turbo. Producing boost puts a restriction on how much can be flowed across the compressor, which limits shaftspeed so it doesn't hit riceboy-thousand rpms and ---- up the shaft/bearings within ten minutes.

If readiness codes aren't set GUESS WHAT??? The ECU has most likely been reset recently and hasn't run long enough to set readiness codes, and it sure hasn't tripped a CEL. You need to idle the car long enough for the fans to cut on and off twice, then drive the car 2-3 miles without hitting boost, readiness codes set or CEL set. ------- with the MAP won't do anything for the O2, evap, non-MAP circuit operation. :(

I tried to warn of that as well.

Yeah, well, Mase told somebody to do it back in '04 and now all the riceboys think it's the greatest idea ever.
