1st of, i'd like to tell that i'm learn alot on this forum. i read the FAQ and make a MAP to my
B18A1 turboed with stock internal at 9PSI
all is ok xcept the timing retard. the car goes fine until the Hi RPM's that i hear a detonation.
i'm using this bosch injectors: E4ZE-CA (546cc) Gray, with 2.25 Ohms of Ford 5.0 OH CFI.
Any Answer will be aducational to me.

I have try to upload the picture of MAPs but i can't, i do the step retard (manually add -0.25). Correct or not??

 

Ok guys, I killed my engine today at one quik race. i think is the piston (Detonation).
I'll open it tomorow.

Why beat on it if you knew it wasnt running right, How do you know it was detonating what kind of sound did it make? Just curious because between 4200 and 4600rpm aprox. I hear a noise that doesnt sound right, so I havent been beating on it until I get it figured out. It just gets raspy and seems to rev a little rougher through that rpm range. Maybe its in my head but if anyone has any info let me know.
