Default Pilot bearing for d16a1? does it have one?

Hi, I've run into another problem. Does anyone know if a d16a1 has a pilot bearing (flywheel bearing?), maybe the zc is the same? I picked one up from carquest and it is definitelly not the right one. The chiltons manual points to one in a picture but it is very vague. But I went back to check and it was the part number they had in the book. Any expirience you might have with this would greately be appreciated.

Thanks,

Conor M.

When I took off the clutch from my brown top ZC1...surprise surprise..no pilot bearing .
It always ran good like that...I took of the flywheel and the block is made not to have a pilot bearing.
I put in a bigger flywheel with the pilot bearing and the pilot bearing got pressed out to the other side...taking out a piece of the middle of the flywheel.

The pilot bearing is housed in the Flywheel not in the crank.

I know. but there is a groove on the crank that makes room for the pilotbearing part that sticks out to fit.
My ZC1 flywheel doesn't use a pilot bearing...I'll take pic's when I get home. The hole in the middle is the same diameter as the pilot bearing hole.

My little brother had an 89 Integra with D16A1. We put a clutch kit in it, and it had no pilot bearing. The flywheel wasnt machined to accept one either
