Well I started out with only 1.5tb so it came out to around $1000. I spent more than I had to on things like the case, psu, some quiet fans, etc, but I wanted something I knew would last and wanted this ---- to be quiet unlike my previous jet-engine of a PC.

With the additional 2 drives it comes out to around 1200-1300, but still a better deal than i can get at the store or from Dell.

Yeah, you can always get more bang for the buck putting together a high end computer... for the cheap ones with mediocre hardware you might as well go with something gay like a Dell.
