That's actually pretty good. IIRC the compressor inducer is about 51mm, with a good sized ~70mmm exducer, so about the size of a smaller TO4B compressor and the turbine wheel is T31 sized as well. They're older technology, but the internals are pretty sturdy. Just a giant IHI VJ11 pretty much. They have the dual piston ring thrust collar, and bolted down 360 degree thrust bearing too. Not to mention the shaft is shorter/thicker than a T3 and should hold up much better. Also, the backplate is part of the bearing housing itself, so you won't get leaks there like you commonly do with a Garrett. Really not a bad alternative at all to a small T3/T4. $100 for that level of performance has got to be one of the best deals going in turbos right now.

I have sold a ton of turbos, only one has failed and I got the customer his money back in less than a week after it was received by my supplier.
CDM turbos are a lot different than they used to be. I personally made 310whp @15psi on a D with one. I drive the car daily
