ok i'm interested in either one si or dx,but is it just the engine bay harness or complete like maybe through fuse box,i just want to re do it all, never minde the splicing or soldering,TOWDOGG is it the whole harness?

Re: A.S.A.P 88-91 dx wiring
the main harness should make a u-shape from the driver headlight through the firewall connect to stuff under there (fuse box, ecu, etc..) back out the firewall and to the passenger headlight, once in the engine bay it connects to the engine harness and various other thing (fuse bod, rad fan,etc..). the only place that i know of that will have to be modified one the si harness is where the rear and main harness meet. also what year is your car because with either harness year there may be some other differences

if im assuming correctly, you should still have pillar mount seatbelts, in that case one from a 88-89 dx,std will work along with a 89 si with the exception of the fore mentioned modifictation to the rear-main harness meeting and the fact you will have to run a si harness, but to me it's cleaner but can be a PITA (have to remove dash).
one from a crx may work but there are other differences, like since the climate control on a civic is manual and the crx is electrical, that really shouldn't matter because you should be able to leave unplugged what doesn't plug in. may be other things to
you basically want to stay with in the 88-89 year range with pillar mounts for easy of install
