Thats cool, Chinesse turbos aren't that bad, I had one for a year on my LS engine then I sold it to my friend, he put it in his sonc, now he has it for couple month, no problem at all, spools very good.

Do i sense sarcasm in JD's post?

And some of those china turbos are indeed very good. My brother has one that was used on 3 turbo setups already, works perfectly. I'll just take his when winter comes around. But lets say i wanted a genuine turbo to support 20 psi on a Y8? What should i be looking for?

I would say T3 57 trim or P trim, those are hard to find in garrett for cheep, but china one shoud be easy...
Check what people says about my garrett turbo...its redicules...

I'll look into it, but cold weather is still a couple months away, so no big turbo for me yet. But i could care less about people bashing china turbos. From my experience, they work perfectly fine.

Good china turbos, and building a Y8 for boost. What would I have to be sarcastic about?

It is just alien for me to not have heard a negative comment yet. So i'm assuming it is a negative comment beautifully masked in sarcasm. I guess i'm too cautious.

Time will tell, as hindsight is 20/20.

clever, very clever. I'll leave it all up to time.

So i think i'll start pulling out my engine today. and dropping in the built D. i'll post pics if i do. The deciding factor is if my bro comes back from work with a fitting for my oil drain.
