i got a garrett/turbonetics t3/t40e 50 trim for sale.

50trim, .48 hotside

i've bought this turbo with hopes of using it.. but seems like going the t3/t4 route is going to cost too much for me atm.. so im planning a simple t25 setup after i get necessary parts.

anyhow, back to the turbo.
i bought it from a guy on the local forums earlier this year.
turbo is in good condition mechanically, but the seal on the hotside doesnt seem to be in the best shape.
probably needs a re-seal/build on the hotside... i've left it in the box laying tipped and it just leaked overtime.. the leak isnt as bad as it looks in the pic.. the flash dramatized it.
spins freely, no chips on the blades on either side.

the comp. side is welded with an elbow already, im sure whoever gets this can just cut it out after seperating the comp. housing to fit their tastes..
i can feel very minor shaft play probably due to the bad seal on the hotside.

the turbo comes with oil line and fittings already on the turbo.

im looking to get $250 + shipping.
or i'll trade for the following : rom burner, walbro fuel pump, 370cc inj., sr t25, stock smic, fmic,... about anything you can think of for a t25 setup.

did you have a top mount manifold or something ?? why is the feed on the bottom?? just took apart and didnt rotate it back ??

 

well, the thing can be clocked.
it was on a domestic before i got my hands on it.

never bothered to clock it since i didnt even have the cash to scrap up turbo parts.

id give you 60 shipped those things are over 400 to have rebuilt at diesel specialties that turbo is toasted and ------ rigged . i doubt it will even gett 150 on ebay

 

um.. it doesnt need to be rebuilt.
all it needs is a seal.
thats 50 bux shipped from ebay.

what makes you say that? the oil from the turbine side?
if you read carefully, i havent even ran the turbo, its been sitting with the turbine side down, resulting in whatever oil that was there just drooling out.

please get your facts straight before you come up in my face with your nonsense bullshit
