wtb hf or standard manifold, sohc vtec head
trying to get my 92 cx together here...would like to find a sohc vtec head for a good price. and looking for a hf or standard manifold for turbo fun. junk yard here wants 75 bucks for a damn manifold i think they know what there used for damn sneeky redknecks any way i dont want to pay 75 freeking bucks for a hunk of cast steel. let know if u all have any thing.... :P

sweet thanks for the heads up that saves some money eh... now this junk yard has a sohc vtec head there they wanted 120 but i have seen them go for less should i just get this one its off a running motor and is good shape..well looks to be at least..

If it is a good working motor, why not take the whole thing. I know alot of people are all for the head swap but why not just go for the little bit bigger block. Once the head is off the block isnt worth jack anyway. So see how much they would want for it as a package, if they say something outragous, buy the head, then in a week call em about the block, they'd probably sell it for $50. But think about everything before you go and buy the head.
Head - $120
Timing belt - $30
Head gasket - $40
So $200 to be able to put it on, if you could get the whole thing you would be better off in my opinion.

yea i forgot about the shipping deal and ----... so the 120 is looking better and better. yea i was thinking about the whole motor any way. and about the head gasket and timming belt. im allready in that boat the car i bought has a broken belt and a blown head gasket. so it could go either way i wanted to but the thing is im to poor to buy the whole motor so i have to fix the cx motor right now just so i can have a car

Where do you live, I have an extra cx motor laying around. Plus you say that the $120 is looking better, but you're still gonna have to buy the other stuff needed to swap it on. So if you're broke and need to be able to drive I would just fix the motor you have. Just my $.02.
