My Y7 with my Y8 head brings me up around 9.96:1 I believe. I may be around 9:1 with these I think. FJT I may try a set, let me see how Alex likes them.

 

Yes I got a 9.1:1, for my y7/y8 build with the d series calculator. I will be picking up a set here soon fjt.

 

putting a y8 head on a z6 raises the compression ratio by 3/4 of a point so that is a thought. plus it is a semi quench combustion chamber which does wonders to prevent detonation. all in all i think its a reasonable low buck solution to running more boost. i gotta wait for it to get warm out so i can put my kit on before i think about buying pistons, but after that i think im in for a set of them with the ls rods. fortunately i have access to a machine shop and the mill and lathe work are ridiculously simple to get them to fit.

 

Mine go in this week or next, with LS rods. I'm breaking the motor in NA because i'm worried my turbo ubermap isn't new motor friendly. Maybe there will be an NE turbo install for me in the near future.
