your right they are stock susuki cast pistons but they are def made better than the d series pistons, and also lower compresssion. both combinations allow you to run higher boost.

think of it this way, stock sleeves cant handle more than 16psi for too long, so if you dint sleeve your block these pistons are perfect since they are good up to 16psi.so y buy forged pistons on stock sleeves since you cant boost past 16psi.
now if you have a sleeve block i say buying these pistons would be a waste, since good sleeves can handle way more than 16psi.

I think the sleeves give way at a horsepower level, not psi of boost.

exactly, people need to stop repeating what they hear.. unless you have tried it dont say ----, i personaly have helped out to boost over 20lbs on stock sleeves for a result of a little over 500 hp.

Of course youre gonna run 12.03 on a CRX with a B20 Vtec turbo..You dont even have AC or Power steering..

Is this deal still going on? Can you get these things oversized??? I am putting it in a d16a1, which is basically a zc. But im going to end up with roughly 10 to 1 compression. How you ask? HEHE just wait until its done. Oh yes, and can anyone say 1.65 r/s >:D

Re: Who wants Vitara Pistons for their SOHC turbo?

only comments I have about these pistons are as follow:
first there is alot of deburring that should be done prior to install..anyone heard of charge density..
second if you can afford it and it is pretty ------- cheap get the side skirts and tops coated something like swain tech , this will cost you an additional 120-175.00 depending on where and what coating you get..
because even after this they are still 150.00 cheaper than a forged set..
now I know they come with a teflon coating all ready but if any of you read up on the 2003-2004 mustang cobra aka terminator(my daily driver) you will know that the forged pistons in the mod motor have a teflon coating and have caused a 20% percent failure rate in these motors..
now if anybody wants to get there's coated here is the place I had my head, valves, pistons, and hf manifold done

Hey guys, I bought some pistons off him last week, and I must say they are awesome quality and FJT is an awesome guy to deal with and most definetly gets my vouche, Great service, super fast shipping as well, the packaging was top notch and everything arrived in one piece.

These pistons with LS rods are amazing.
