so whats THE DOHC ZC will have lower compression compared to the SOHC A6 or ZC?

sounds like a deal!!!!!! but i dont know if i want that low of a compression rate!

Just use a y8 headgasket, and if thats not enough mill the head a little but i think the y8 gasket should be good.

Just turn the boost up. I'm thinking maybe deck the block and shave the head a bit, crank up the boost and call it a day.

When is the dead line for the next batch?

I dont know why people are getting all excited about these pistons. #1 they are suzuki, suzuki makes some of the shittiest engines known to man kind. #2 these pistons are not forged, they are normal cast pistons. #3 Big ------- deal if they can hold 15psi, I'm sure they can with 8.5 or whatever compression. Hondas are dogs with low compression and anything in the 8's or lower is just stupid.

What you are getting is basically a stock set of pistons that are lower compression. With all the great tuning software out there such as uberdata/turboedit tuning a 9.1 c/r engine and even a 10.1 c/r engine is not difficult.

As far as these going in a ZC, that would be really stupid. If you put D16a6 Pistons in a ZC you will get a 7.8 c/r. Now these pistons have a huge *** dish way bigger than a PM6 piston, so your looking at around 7.5 if not lower. ZC's have a 44cc's of space in each cylinder which is the most out of any D-series. Hence why the stock PM7 pistons are domed.

Btw, good luck with your block guard

Not trying to be a dick, but just laying out the facts.

Well i guess theyre not good huh?...When you can run 12.60@ 112mph for over a year on a Non Vtec coupe with Full interior and A/C and P/S hooked up with the Stock Honda OEM pistons Let me know..Ohh yeah..without Uberdata or Hondata..Just on the AFC which YOU know that its a cheap band aid for fuel/engine management.Hmmm you know what? by that time your OEM pistons ringlands will be broken(ouch).

Just so you get your fact straight:
they are made from ac8a grade cast aluminum .its been recently introduced to the auto scene and is said to be 50% stronger than standard cast aluminum piston material.the ac8a grade aluminum tney are t-6 heat treated wich is very good for those of us who have these .if you ever read the book'maximum boost' by corky bell. in the part where they talk about turbo pistons they mention t-6 heat treated aluminum alloy as a good alternative to forged pistons!

Ohh and By the way...Dont worry..These pistons are made to fit in the Suzuki but theyre NOT MADE by Suzuki so your "Shitty Suzuki making engines" coment does not applies here..Same as if i Buy some JE or CP 75mm pistons to drop on a Suzuki. These are not Suzuki OEM pistons.

lol, Actually I ran a 12.03 on stock cast pistons. Let me clarify something for you, I know what they are made out of, I did plenty of research on them awhile back. I assumed they were designed and made by suzuki, but I guess not. The fact they bring down the compression ratio so low on a honda is ridiciolus. I never said the pistons themselves were weak, 4g63's use the same kind of piston and can take lots of abuse but will break just like any cast piston.

I just remember reading one of your threads on honda-tech saying that they were forged and wanted to clarify things.

I was thinking the same thing as Abaz, if your lowering the compression this much, it will take more boost to make the same hp, correct? So running 15psi on 8.3:1 comp, is like running 10 on 9.5, (not exact, just ex.) right?

I'm not doubting, I just want to see some dyno #'s and more real world experience before I jump on the bandwagon. Any links?

No theyre not forged(thats what everyone claimed at first but no, theyre not) but there stronger than the average Cast pistons.

12.03 huh? Thats pretty good man.. but again i ask you again, in what vehicleand motor?.. No weight reduction? On a Coupe without Vtec(stock head and valvetrain) and with A/C hooked up? No Hondata, uberdata or any other programable ecu? If the answer is yes then thats F*ing impressive.

Im talking about a car that with driver is for sure in the 2500lbs range.Driver alone is a chubby dude of 260lbs.

Anyways..The pistons went out of stock AGAIN..

..Lol they didnt even lasted 2 weeks in stock..Im trying to find another place to get them.

I dont want to make a whole issue about this..This is something that is done here and i thought i would let others know..The way i see it i prefer to run 12's with a 100+/- piston and not going into shock if they break rather than paying 400 for aftermarket forged pistons and also breaking them. I think this combo is a hell of a good bang for the buck.
