I have a few extra turbos that are just sitting on my bench. This one I really don't need since I'm going for a bigger one. Garret T3 .42/.48 off a chysler motor. Clean, no cracks or evidence of blowby. Shaft play was checked with a digital micrometer and was within spec. Both wheels are in excellent condition. Spins freely and absolutely no thrust play. Turbo supports 5.5 to 14psi stock. Needs a wastegate.

is .42/.48 a good size for stock z6 daily driver at 8-10 psi? when could i expect full boost?

 

Yes, quick spooling - good for stock internals. Just get a adjustable wastegate acutator and set to the desired psi. This will allow you to increase boost if you build up the block later on. On a z6 you should have full boost by like 3 maybe 3.5k rpm. This is perfect as since it is a quick spool, it will give you good low to mid torque. Then v-tec kicks in!
