Hey! i just so happen to own a starion. The turbo is a fairly small turbo and struggles to support the 2.6l I4 that the starion has. It is a TDO5 12A (if its stock), one of the smallest mitsu makes. (they also make a 9c and maybe smaller ones i dont know though) the 12A flows 320cfm at 15psi. Its boost range is in the area of like 6-15 or 16 i wouldnt go much over 15. anything over 15 is pushing it and the turbo won't last long. The turbo is a fast spooler. The wastgate is set to open at 7 psi on the 85-87 Esi-R and TSI models, and 10 psi on the 88-89 TSI and ESI-R models. The turbo is both water and oil cooled, the starions also had an oil cooler. The inlet and outlets of the intercooler are a shitty 1 3/4". but they can be worked with especially if your need new hardpipes, chances are your gonna need to cut the pipes on the intercooler anyways. A 1988-89 intercooler without the end tanks is 16-3/4" long, by 8-1/8" high, by 2-11/16" wide and has 14 rows of air tubes each roughly 7/32" thick. the 1986-87 had the same dimensions but had 16 rows of air tubes, each roughly 5/32" thick.

Trust him guys the turbo is WAY too small for the 2.6 in the starion i wouldn't put it on any thing but a budget boost 1.6, and why would anyone ever budget boost a 1.6? 12a will start to lose boost at higher revolutions. and as Starquestor could tell you the reason why you can even think about taking a factory 2.6l's turbo and throw it on a D is because the starion motor is running 7:1 low efficiency and does not rev past...i think 2500 rpm? All contributing to it's low CFM. Why would you ever make fun of someone's home, well you are obviously an -------. Which reminds me, CrxMatt Your wife said that Im way better at poking her vag than you and the wierd thing is your daughter agreed with her 100% interesting how preferences can be passed down genetically isn't it? You dont deserve to have crx in your name.
