DIY all the way...
does anyone know any sites that have examples of port and polishing on a D series honda engine? I am about to attempt doing this. Alot of people say this cannot be done DIY stylee but then others claim you can, I have not even seen a cylinder head till i took this one out of my CRX so I understand where the inlet and outlet ports are but what other bits need porting and polishing
thanks

Black SI pointed out this link once.... http://www.theoldone.com/articles/d16a_head/

This can be done by a DIY'er who has the knowledge and understanding of how air flows.. and is patient. and familiar with a grinding tool... I have done this to my D16Z6... And it hasnt given me ---- since then. If you have never done this before... i would recomend you buy a junk head.. and practice on it. till you feel comfortable working on the real deal. I dont want to go into detail on what you need to do... just click on the link and read everything... it should answer all your questions

Yo kids!!!! can get port an polish kits to do a full set of v8 heads so y9ou know you can get alot out of one kit for a 4cyl head. and to answer your question. really need to remove the valve guides so you don't hit them when you are porting the head and you just want to port match it to your gasket. I could setup a site if enough people help with donations on how to do the port and polish. let me know if you want a kit I can get them for ya I pay 50 dollars no lie so I will run around town and get the kit for 5 bucks and then you just pay sh&h. will send reciept as well you let me know but dood is right if you aren't a very confident person or just smoke tons of crack you should get a practice head. let me know you can email me at soul_reaver_69@mailcity.com

oh yeah and you will have to port match the intake and exhaust the their gaskets and then you will want to do a port and polish on the bowls(where the valves sit jackass LOL) just make sure when porting the bowls to put the intake and exhaust vavles in and then make sure you polish those ****'s to a mirror finish. and like I said I can get you a complete port and polish kit for 55.00 bones and shipping and handling all I make off it is 5 bucks. let me know though man it comes with everything you need including instruction set to tell you exactly what to do when porting and polishing.
