i've already sent a message to Steve requestiing him to lock my post until this issue is resolved because frankly I do not like to do bad business, so i'm giving up my for sale post until we resolve this issue.

Like I stated to the buyer the gauge was purchased straight off honda-tech, I never tampered with the gauge or anything. The gauge was baught from a very well known member who had plenty of vouches. He assured me that the gauge was working and had all the aprts. He told me that he had just pulled it off his car and it worked fine. He was not aware if it needing any sort of black box, and he told me that he ran the gauge just how you got it.

I baught the gauge, but by the time the gauge got to me since I live in hawaii my car was already down and I had already taken off my turbo stuff and sold it, so I just left the gauge in the box and when the buyer decided to buy it I checked to make sure the gauge and probe was there, and I slapped his name on it and sent it off.

There is no scamming going on here incase anyone is wondering, and no the gauge is not useless so don't say that it is. I asked a few honda-tech members a while back and they all even told me the gauge should work how it is. Please don't come on here ranting and raving when I told you that I would work with you to get to the bottom of everything. there is no need to blow anything out of proportion, its not like I am running like most people would. If I made a mistake I am willing to try and help resolve it.

Thank You

ohh hey one last thing . . . if I was a scammer or did bad business you would think I would just try and sell the turbo as a brand new turbo rather then doing what I did and let people know exactly what was wrong with it, so you now know that I didn't sell you that gauge as an incomplete gauge on purpose if it is indeed incomplete.

Sorry for any misunderstandings or what not, doing research on that thing as we speak.

Don't worry guy's I've spoken with genxperformance a few times now and he's a trustworthy guy. Definately seems helpful and I'm sure is trying his best to get to the bottom of what happened so that you guy's will be happy. I'm sure it was just an overlooked thing. Mistakes happen so be patient and it will all work out.

I don't know whats going on, but based on the information I see (the same info you see) is that there isn't a control box. This is the description from autometer:

I don't see a control box, and I've never heard of one with an egt gauge/probe. I've also sold these things before and don't know anything about it. Where'd the control box idea come from?

i'm still doing my research, but i'm gona hold off on the selling thread until this issue gets resolved. As much as I need the $$ if I was going to scam of any sort it would def. be for more then a few $$ I wouldn't wreck my name for something like that, still researching though.

my friend who is located on another island shipped a couple of parts for me, so i'm going to see if he remembers the other egt gauge having a black box or not. I am not 100% sure but if I remember correctly the newer gauges don't need oen but the older ones might have had one, but I am not saying I am 100% correct, but like I stated above:

The gauge was purchased from a trustworthy guy and he said it was working in his vehicle, so I wouldn't see why it would not work in your car.

I'm going to see if I can locate a box some place, someone has got to have an extra run that they are not using to see if that is the case or not.

Hey, calm the ---- down.

The guy listed what he thought he had. The listing didn't say ---- about a black box, so I'm not sure who the lazy dumb non researching bastard is.
He's trying to take care of it and your acting like he's nowhere to be found. He's right here saying he didn't really know much about it, this is what he thought it was, and now there's a problem.
Let him take care of it.
