89 Tranny, so a 20 spline input shaft

Syncs.. looked good when the case was off, never have drove the tranny, under 40k miles.

I've driven a few RWD that had a welded diff, but never a FWD. Very nice traction, but turning was a bit tricky/loud. I'd be glad to trade a few miles off the life of my tires for more traction. :P

just my point but welded gears are bad for street. when you turn, the outer wheel will be spinning faster than the inner gear. so if you dont have ATLEAST a 1.5 way lsd, the diff will snap. no hard turns on welded diff. lsd's are kinda like a clutch. they let the diff. go when too much pressure is put out on turning...so the outer wheel can spin faster. so this is good for drag....also for street if you take corners SLOW.

Anything aftermarket is usually bad for the street, but we do it anyways. I'm a big fan of traction no matter what it costs me. Eat my tires up, I don't care because I have traction sucka! :P

Beau had his j1 tranny welded up in his turbo b16a crx for a good few months... its great traction, but kinda tricky to drive.
