jeep grand wagoneer for sale North Alabama
i am located in north alabama
it is a 84 jeep grand wagoneer. it has roughly 7" lift (3" body, 4 suspension), it has the one piece axle amc 20 (welded), and an open dana 44 up front. drivetrain was swapped by previous owner, and it is full dodge swap (318, a727, np20. it has almost new (%90) 33x13.50/15 super swamper TSL's on some steel wheels. interior is in great shape. i have swapped in a dual core griffin aluminum radiator and electric fan.
the bad:
divers side motor mount pad needs to be welded down. tranny shift rods are fubar'd (i have a hurst pro-matic with cable and lever that go with the jeep), and the tranny slips just a little (i think its just REALLY old and aerated tranny fluid, it ran fine one night all night long, and then started slipping the next morning as soon as it was started). the rear windows are off track, it has no title, and its painted camoflauge.
the good:
lifted, new 33" tsl's, very stout front bumper, welded rear, 4wd works flawlessly, nice interior, new starter, GM alternator, new starting/charging system wiring (heavy gauge). dual exhaust with glasspacks (not too loud but has a good note) great trail rig, or try to get title (i can possibly get it), or great parts jeep. asking $1000 obo

I don't think that's sarcasm. The beast is made for off road and with no title thats the only place it should probably be. If you were in WPA I'm sure complex would pick this up haha I know I'd love to own such a beast.

I like trail rides. Wagoneers are hosses, I always liked them.
Between offroading threads the hotnugget and CSaddict have linked me to I want, but can't afford the gasoline to get it home.

its actually not that bad on the street. the wider stance makes up for the lack of sway bars, lol. the only annoying thing is the constant howl of the tsl's. god they're noisy. and it only hops in really sharp turn arounds. but it flexes well for a full size and as much as i dont like the 318 either, it pulls it around with no problem.
and yea, a sammy would be nice, but good luck finding one for a good price. hell a sammy with a re-geared t-case and a spring over and some trimming and 33's will go damn near anywhere. especially locked. check out pirate4x4.com if you are just getting into the whole thing, just dont post in the wrong forum

Mike Belben was telling me about the Toyota rock crawler he built since getting out of the Honda game; apparently you can plug the input shaft of one Toy truck trans into the tailshaft of another, so now he has a HUGE gearing selection down to something silly like 45:1 reduction. Kinda got my hamster wheel twirling, but this is all OT so anybody interested can make another thread and link me.

youre pretty right jd. 4.7:1 t-case reduction into another t-case with 4.7 = SUPER low first gear. idle against a rock wall all day in gear and break traction on all 4 tires.
only weakness is diffs.... just ask the smallblock swappers.

yea, its called a t-case doubler. toy's have it nice like that. but you can double anything, provided you have a long enough rear shaft as to not put it in a bind while articulating by being so short. a 18" drive shaft likes to spit u joints when the rear drops a foot or so....
and its not uncommon to see toy's in the 2xx:1 reduction, its nuts for real. add some portal axles to that equation and you can climb anything at idle (i.e. unimog)
